Remember the user must have local admin privileges to install the client. I
found this one out the hard way

Subject: Re: Meeting Maker upgrade question
Yes we upgraded last month. The v8.5.3 auto-upgrade feature does not work
for Macintosh users. For Windows users, download the upgrade client .ZIP
file to a Windows machine and follow the MM documentation to setup a
background push of the v8.5.3 upgrade files from the v7.3 MMadmin tool.
Give yourself about two weeks if you have several hundred users. The
background push will create a new directory called C:\Program
Files\MeetingMaker\MMUpgrdC on each client. After the server is upgraded,
the client will receive message that the server has been upgraded and asks
whether the user wishes to work offline, or upgrade.
This is a much more efficient method to upgrade clients.

Post by William M. FennellGood Morning,
I am planning an upgrade from 7.5.3 to 8.5.3.
Can anyone offer a candid review of the auto-upgrade feature?
Thanks,
Bill
