We recently ran into a situation and we would like the thoughts of the
list.
We have a high profile user who through a syncing mishap had all his
meetings turned into activities. As a result all the meetings that he
initiated showed on other calendars as canceled. Now this user wants
his calendar restored. The way we went about restoring the calendar did
not restore any guests. These are the steps we took
1. Copy the mmdata.mdb file to another server.
2. we did a export of the file
3. created a new MM server on the secondary server
4. imported the data into the secondary server not including remote
information.
5. created a hub
6. Attached both primary and secondary server to the hub
7. moved the user from the secondary server to the primary server
the problem with this is that while everything moves over, the meetings
only show him as the invitee.
I know meetingmaker does not support any way of recovering from this
especially on our version. v7.3
Has anyone run into this problem and how have you solved it?
