I am attempting to receive feedback from users on this forum, to which I am
new at using, to see if any other institutions are using the current
Meetingmaker 8.5.* and the Outlook Connector.

I would like to know how long have the two been used and if there were any
problems encountered. Also if there is any other information you have come
across that may be helpful in our transition.

Thank you in advance.

We have mixed views on it.

If there are no problems, it runs ok. But when problems happen, they
tend to be very painful and very hard to correct. The latest problem
involved a user deleting an outlook archive which he didn't care
about. MMCO exploaded and the process will run to 100% dragging the
users machine into the ground. Reinstalls do not correct it.

Make sure outlook 2003 has all the needed patches. I remember the 100%
factor happening to a couple of people that weren't current.

It runs ok. It's still way better then their web client. My linux
people are getting PCs to avoid using it. I have 1 diehard user that
is still using (hopes it will get fixed) it.

OK, I'll try this again:

My linux users use the native MM client under wine. Runs OK,
just no SSL. They use the webclient (https) on non-secure networks.
If anyone knows how to get SSL working with wine, please share.

I have a tomcat server with the outlook connector installed. Tomcat has SSL
set up and it all works fine.

The outlook connector works fine over http but not https. I kep getting a
'Verification Failed" error and tomcat
spits out a LoginException stracktrace.

I can get to the SSL verifcation page and it says its successful. Anyone
else see this?

Tomcat Setup:
Linux AMD 64 bit
Java 1.5 AMD64
Tomcat 5.5.17 on ports 80, 443
Self-signed certificate.

Windows XP SP2
Office 2003 all SP and patches
MM 8.5.3 Outlook connector
