Hello all. We recently upgraded from 7.5 to 8.5.3 with the usual wrinkles
.
The fat client auto-upgrade mess is now over and that portion of the syst
em
is working apparently normally. Now I'm trying to get the HTML and MMCO

components functioning but not having any success. I have the recommended

Tomcat and java versions installed and (as far as MM tech support is
concerned) configured properly, but every time I try to connect I get
a "java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect" error. This sa
me
error shows up in the mmwebclient.log every time I start Tomcat. FWIW, MM
,
MM HTML, Tomcat and Java are all installed on the same Windows 2003 serve
r.
Googling hasn't yet supplied me with an answer. Anybody more familiar wit
h
these technologies have any suggestions? Thanks in advance...

You may have already done these things, but...

Check your meetingmaker.properties files for each service and make sure your
Meeting Maker (MM) server is listening on the port you have specified for
your MM_server_port_number=???? setting(s). This should also match the
settings for your MM server's Comparam.ini file (if your MM sever is also
running on Windows).

I'm happy to say that all is now well. I had the comparam.ini file
configured properly but as it turns out it was in the wrong location. I

think that was the root cause of the problem.

He's a pretty busy guy, but once I got Max (MM engineer) to look at it he

found the problem pretty quickly. Max, if you read this traffic - I owe y
ou
a case of Sam Adams... ;-)
